BAKING:

  1. Bake 3 of your favourite cookies “shown” on a disposable plate in a sealed plastic bag
  2. Bake a banana loaf “shown” in a sealed plastic bag
  3. Blueberry jam, “shown” in a small sealed jar
  4. Caramel popcorn “shown” in a sealed plastic bag
  5. Bake 3 tea biscuits ‘shown’ in a sealed plastic

ARTS & CRAFTS:

  1. Create/”sew” a fascinator
  2. Origami
  3. Handmade jewelry
  4. Make a craft from duct tape, max 50 cm in any direction
  5. Make a craft from recycled Greeting cards, max 50 cm in any direction
  6. Make a dream catcher
  7. Make a bird house
  8. Sew a wall hanging
  9. Any other craft not mentioned, max. 50 cm in any direction

UNDERSTANDING AGRICULTURE

  1. Create a vegetable person, animal, bird or insect out of at least 3 different vegetables
  2. Create an agricultural scene using plasticine art “shown” inside a closed CD case
  3. Design a Canadian postage stamp (hand drawn or on computer) that commemorating rural life
  4. Cursive write a list of 10 different Agricultural University programs or courses

CLASS 34   JUNIOR BAKING OPEN CLASS:

  1. Bake a loaf of whole wheat bread in a bread machine “shown” in sealed clear plastic bag
  2. Bake a nut-free or gluten-free item & “show” 3 pieces on a disposable plate in a sealed clear plastic bag
  3. Apricot jam “shown” in a small, sealed jar
  4. Bake chocolate chip muf­fins & “show” 3 on a disposable plate & in a sealed clear plastic bag. No mixes or paper liners
  5. Peach crisp “shown” in a small glass dish & covered with clear plastic wrap
  6. Bake & decorate sugar cookies depicting the fair them & “show” 3 of them on a disposable plate in a sealed clear plastic bag
  7. Bake, ice & decorate your favourite cupcakes & “show” 3 of them on a disposable plate in a sealed clear plastic bag
  8. Salsa “shown” in a small sealed jar

JUNIOR BAKING CUP  – The winner of the baking cup will be determined based on the highest points accumulated from the participants baking section (either class 30, 31, 32, or 33) & the junior open baking class (34).      The winner will receive a baking cup trophy & a $25 prize.
